I’m over on One Thimble’s blog today sharing one of my favorite new closures. My girl is always getting her hair caught in those back buttons so many gorgeous dress patterns include, and though I love a good button, sometimes it’s not worth the aggravation later. There are some affiliate links in this post, but all opinions are mine and I really love One Thimble and can’t recommend it enough!
So I came up with the idea of using a small bit of elastic to allow a keyhole opening to actually stretch open enough for a head to fit through, but rest in the correct spot at the neckline when not stretched. I include this method in my Crossover Flounce Dress pattern (*affiliate link), but I’ve written a picture tutorial which posted over on One Thimble (*affiliate link) for you to see the process – and use it!! – for yourself.
Also, in case you missed it, I was up on the One Thimble blog earlier this week as well. Jen interviewed me and the article turned out really well. Have a pop over and learn something new!
