It’s almost the 4th of July and time to celebrate America! Wild & Wanderful organized a bunch of us to form the Sew Americana Blog Tour and it is SO GOOD. American or not, you’ll be wanting to sew up a bunch of red, white, and blue by the end of the week with all the amazing inspiration!
Every year I like to make Bean a little something to celebrate the 4th (see here, here, and here) and it always ends up being one of my favorite things she wears all summer long. This year I have swimsuits on the brain – my Classic Maillot pattern is due to release at the end of the week (!!) – so I of course made her a swimsuit!
There’s something subtly “America” about the navy with white polka dots mixed with this pinkish red and white gingham, while not totally over the top. I’m completely smitten with it.

This is one of the tankini views of the Classic Maillot and Bean’s first two-piece. I love how much coverage the bottoms and the tankini top have. It’s cute, stylish, and the separates are convenient (for potty), but still modest which I love in a swimsuit.
