I’ve been working hard behind the scenes on my newest dress which is released today as a part of One Thimble Issue 13 (*affiliate link)! **UPDATE The Raglan Party Dress is now available in the DbCA shop here. This post contains affiliate links, but all opinions are mine and I really do think One Thimble is the best!
There are three views which determine the look of the inverted pleats on the skirt. The dress from the One Thimble photo shoot is view A which has a contrast fabric inside each inverted pleat, while the dress that Bean is wearing is view B which has the contrast fabric on the center front and center back pleats only. View C (you can see two lovely versions here and here) uses one fabric for the skirt so none of the pleats have contrast panels.
The V-shape on the front is fun, but the back is my favorite. The pattern includes tips on sewing an invisible zipper and shows you how to get the perfect V every time. (you’ll have to excuse the wrinkles in Bean’s dress; she insisted on wearing it to church before we took these pics so it was well worn that day)
Bean loves this new dress pattern and so do I! As with most of my patterns the sizing is from newborn to 12 years and there are details for blending between sizes to get the perfect fit.
This issue of One Thimble is full of fantastic patterns and I’ll be sharing more over the next few days. I was blown away by the articles as well, but I’m always surprised by just how much good content OT contains.
There’s a great early bird special for purchasing Issue 13 (*affiliate link) before the end of the weekend. This 2017 calendar has a fun Pastel Pop vintage sewing machine for each month to brighten up your sewing studio all year!
So what are you waiting for? Hehe, hurry and grab your copy of the full ezine or the stand alone Raglan Party Dress pattern (*updated to shop) today!
