One of my favorite views of the Paneled Sunsuit is the Jumpsuit (view B in the pattern), so today I’m excited to share a bit about it.
The jumpsuit is a combo of the Tank (detail post here) and the Trousers (detail post here) and is super comfy. This jumpsuit was made with this amazing linen blend (*affiliate link) from Imagine Gnats, but the pattern was designed to work with a variety of fabrics including some sturdier knits like ponte.
This is a size 4t that I made in the early spring and Bean has just moved over to size 5 so the bodice may appear a bit snug in these pics. Even still, the jumpsuit is easy to get on and off for changing and potty which is a huge win. The straps have elastic in them which allows them to stretch up and over the hips like a bathing suit and also adds a cute ruffled look to the shoulders.
I made the faux piping style pockets (that little pop of lavender) because I can’t help but love that detail. Instead of adding the flat piping to the bodice top panel, I used a bit of ribbon that I’d been saving that I knew Bean would adore. She’s still firmly in the pandas-are-the-best camp so I knew adding pandas to this jumpsuit would mean she’d wear it for sure.
Like the trousers view, the jumpsuit has plenty of room in the seat and the legs are loose enough for the ultimate in comfort while playing. Not to mention it’s adorable! Tomorrow we’ll focus on the shorts view of the pattern, but for now you can click here to see the other posts about the Paneled Sunsuit and to find out where it can be purchased.
