The Lounge Library collection has been released and I’m thrilled to finally share my Nini Noni Nightwear pattern with all of you!
This pattern has been bouncing its way around our house for almost three years now and it’s been begging to be released. When I joined in this most recent Project Run & Play collaboration I knew it was finally time to share. The Lounge Library theme we came up with suits the state of our world just perfectly and this all-you’ll-ever-need pj/loungewear pattern couldn’t be more timely.
It all started with this maxi length nightgown. For awhile I thought the pattern would be called the Nini Noni Nightgown, but then I designed the most comfy sweatpants ever and I knew they had to be a part of this loungewear pattern. But the nightgown has our heart. It’s slightly gathered in front and back with either a dramatic ruffle at the hem or a regular fold over hemline. Either way the shape is dreamy and my girls live in them, year round.
The top of the nightgown is perfect for color blocking and is the same for all four of the top views in this pattern. It’s drafted for moderate stretch knits so fabrics like french terry, interlock, and cotton/lycra work for a comfortable fit, just right for lounging.
You can see all the views available in the above pic. View E is a straight legged sweatpant with either a 1″ or 2″ waistband, depending on rise preference. Views D, E, and G work great for gender neutral options, while view C is a sweet and swingy tunic top that looks great with the peek of ruffle at the legs when paired with the view F shorts.
The view D top is perfect for using a panel or some iron on vinyl and it’s shown here with the gathered head, puffed long sleeve. Bean loves the ruffle shorts for bed, but honestly she wears the view D tops as regular tees all the time as well.
Ignore the arm wrinkles in this one (it was worn all day haha), but you can see how she pairs this view D top with a pair of jeans to wear during the day too. This is the regular long sleeve and the fit is just right for a comfy tee. Of course both of them wear the view E sweatpants constantly these days to feel comfortable around the house. I’ve found they make the best baby pants in a soft cotton/lycra.
The Nini Noni Nightwear pattern is available in the Project Run & Play shop for 20% off during this release week! It’s also available along with the rest of the collection as a bundle with over 30% off the total price. I can’t wait to share with you all of the pieces I’ve made from the collection. It’s such a great set of patterns!
